Children

In today’s busy and changing society, children are increasingly exposed to the pressures that were previously experienced by adolescents.

The emergence of the ‘tween’ years (8-12 years of age) is a reflection of these changes. Pressures for children include peer difficulties, academic demands, multiple out of school activities, media portrayal of children, social media and the onset of early puberty.

These pressures can manifest in anxiety, stress and even depression. Parents can struggle in knowing how to help their child deal with these new challenges of childhood.

Nick has extensive experience in supporting both children and families in dealing with mental health issues experienced in childhood.
